Thoracic outlet syndrome is actually a collection of syndromes brought about by abnormal compression of the neurovascular bundle by bony, ligamentous or muscular obstacles between the cervical spine and the lower border of the axilla.

  • parts of the body which suffer due to TOS are:
  • neuro vascular bundle- it consists of brachial plexus,c8 and t1 roots.subclavian artery and vein.
  • brachial plexus-collection of sensory and motor nerves which innervate the hand and shoulder region.
  • subclavian artery and vein-transports bllod to arm,hand and shoulder region.
